About Cirrus

Cirrus is a small privately owned company, that has been producing iconic shearling sheepskin WW2 style flying jackets, since 1982. We produce a replica of the 1930’s jacket designed by Leslie Irvin, our Cirrus “original classic”. We think we are the last and therefore only company, to manufacture and sell these flying jackets ourselves in-house, in the UK. That is why we can make everything bespoke and why we offer a fast repair and alteration service.

Cirrus UK 2011 16 200x300 About Cirrus

We like to think that we represent what some may term “old fashioned” British values, of integrity, quality, value for money, friendliness and a sense of humour. Many customers come back to us time after time, as they upgrade their wardrobes or hand jackets on to their children. We are prepared to custom-make jackets and bags to your design too, within reason. Maybe you have a tried and tested, well-worn bag, an “old favourite” that you want to re-create. Why not ask us to reproduce it?

We have always manufactured in Norfolk and we are proud of the area’s link with military aviation history. The Dambusters and Pathfinder missions all flew from this area and this is where the American 8th Air Force was stationed during the Second World War. We like to think that our products will last at least a lifetime and provide our customers with the same sort of protection and functionality as the original products did, all those years ago. Thank you for supporting British craftsmanship and manufacturing, we believe it is vital to retain these important skills in the UK.
